The KoMP (KonSequenz
Music Project) was set up by members of the Ferenc Liszt regional association
as a companion project to the musical journal Konsequenz.
The KoMP is a project for the diffusion of border music conceived by Girolamo De Simone and Eugenio Fels to promote the activities of the best Italian musicians and composers, and create a homogeneous organization for the study, production, and distribution of their music.
The KoMP is engaged in the following activities:
It edits a section lending a voice to the musicians themselves in the contemporary music journal Konsequenz, published by the Editore Liguori
It produces compact discs, the first one being a collection of unpublished pieces by some of the best known Italian "border music" composers and performers
It promotes an important annual review of border music
It collaborates with musical workshops in schools
It edits the
Archive of Contemporary Music on its web-site, Konsequenz
